I have been teaching First Aid courses since March 2017 and also work as an event medic at a variety of sporting and community events. I love teaching courses to a wide variety of groups and recognise the critical need for more people to gain these essential skills.
I qualified as an RGN at Newcastle Upon Tyne School of Nursing and as an RSCN at Birmingham Children's Hospital, Queen Elizabeth School of Nursing, going on to work at major teaching hospitals in Newcastle, Birmingham, London and Toronto.
My goal when delivering any training is to ensure everyone feels confident and empowered to help if someone needs assistance, as skills and confidence can make a huge difference in an emergency.
How brilliant at her job Jen is. She made it pithy, funny and yet grounded in the gravitas of such a situation… pitch perfect. I know the others felt the same way – they can be a hard bunch to please!
Everyone thought the course was excellent. It was great to have a cyclist/nurse as all the discussion were tailor to our situation. Very high standard training; Jen was fantastic.
